Rolf Kuhn GmbH 

Our sister company Rolf Kuhn GmbH provides a large and balanced accessories program for manufactures of constructional preventive fire protection in buildings.

In 1957 Rolf Kuhn laid the foundation for the company by opening a commercial agency. In the 60s special products for fire protection doors e.g. were offered on a commission basis to several companies.

Ever since the Rolf Kuhn GmbH was established in 1976 as an independent company for fire protection a large and balanced accessories program regarding constructional preventive fire protection have been the focus of the ROKU product range. During the last years a second product line has been developed by Rolf Kuhn GmbH: Solutions for building systems meeting the difficult demands of the fire protection.

In 1988 a new production location was established in Erndtebrück. Since then, the production and storage area were expanded to an overall area of 7.300 sqm. Individual production facilities with special equipment that was partially developed in-house characterize the factory and its machinery.

The development of expanded PTFE (ePTFE) has led to numerous unique products, today known under the tradenames “GORE™” or GORE-TEX®. 

PTFE and gasket technology 

Especially in the gasket technology, PTFE-products are used more and more due to increased requirements. Because of their special workmanship of 100% virginal PTFE, GORE™ gasket products achieve an excellent stability under pressure – even at higher temperatures. Therefore they are the perfect choice to optimize your equipment availability.

GORE™  ePTFE gaskets provide brilliant adaptability to unevennes at the sealing face. Even small bolt forces suffice in order to seal old or damaged sealing faces durably and reliably.

Because every application has specific sealing requirements, GORE offers support to those in charge of planning and maintainance of the machinery, including accomplishment of individual sealing calculations on site and training courses for assembly personnel.

The quality and reliability of GORETM  gaskets have been tested for many years now by numerous specifications and references as well as new accreditations based on independent tests.
